I'm proud to say I'm the duchess of this establishment, thank you very much! One of my favorite places to visit for coffee, breakfast, a quick snack, or to meet up for drinks! I guess you can say it's my home away from home. This is a family owned business and they really do their best to make you feel welcomed and at home. Francisco is the owner and just having a conversation with him you'll know he truly is passionate about his business. He knows the best drinks to pair with the food you order, just ask him about it. I've ordered just about every meal on their menu and it is all delicious! My favorite is the Portobello Hipster I can eat that every day. My husband loves their Croissant Pibil sandwich with the potato salad on the side. They offer Kombucha both non alcoholic and with alcohol. They also have a variety of Mezcals which Francisco has a lot of knowledge about and can tell you all about the history and benefits of these drinks. Follow them on social media so you can get updates about events they have, typically artists coming in to do live paintings and musicians performing on weekends. I would give them 10 stars if I could but obviously 5 stars is all I can give and they are worth every star!
We are a family owned restaurant at the heart of this beautiful art hive. Heart driven, we wanted to be part of the change for this community by bringing light and fun on to Grand. It’s an honor to be part of this blossoming unity. Giving way for the community and artist within it to communicate was how we located our motto, Bringing back the art of conversation.
Located in the vibrant, pedestrianized art district at downtown Phoenix, El Charro Hipster is a bright and airy space with glazed frontage on two sides, outside terrace, and with the unique plus of a big parking lot
Serving our signature ground in-house coffee, artisanal cocktails and delightful food, El Charro Hipster appeals to all in a relaxed, refreshing and very personable vibe. Treating all costumers as friends and family, our main goal is to brighten anyone’s day and start a change in doing so.
We only partner with locals and/or importer vendors who share our values, and who have an extensive relationship with the producers. That also includes all art displayed, our coffee, and all performers that are part of the El Charro Hipster family.
Pronounced platinum title by Phoenix Green Leader business, El Charro Hipster family is proud to say we are very environmentally friendly by using only 100% compost able items at our restaurant which was very important as a family to have. We believe change starts within us.
